paula scher rocks the ballet

paula scher and pentagram recently designed a new identity for the new york city ballet.

i think there’s a beautiful, muted elegance to it and an unmistakable urban feeling. in scher’s words, “the identity is designed to be powerful and graceful at the same time.”
