looking for a summer vacation?

or summer camp for artists? because that’s pretty much what haystack mountain school of crafts offers. their summer workshops are one- or two-week intensives in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, graphics, metals and wood, all at their beautiful campus on deer isle, maine.

my sister-in-law has attended a couple of summer sessions and absolutely raves about the experience. scholarships applications (yes, they offer scholarships!) are due march 1, regular applications are due april 1 and these sessions fill up quickly, so if you’re interested, get a move on (and then email me and tell me all about it)!
