Belts - Not Just For Pants Anymore

It’s probably fair to say I favor some of the beautiful old steel bikes to the current trend toward newfangled carbonfiberousness. But I’ve got to admit this new belt drive, single speed, aluminum, urban steed from Trek is pretty sexy. I highly recommend you dump that dinosaur juice hog you’re driving and get one.

  2. Spendy, and tough to find I think, but the belt drive is ninja-silent. I hear a bunch of companies will be offering belt drive bikes in the next year or so… a perfect storm of quiet hybrid cars and quiet bikes. Watch out!
