I had to art direct my first food photo shoot last month for General Mills. While “obsessive” may be too strong a word to describe my surfing habits since then, I have been bookmarking more than my usual number of food photography sites (which was closer to zero before getting the assignment). This photo is from foodgawker, a showcase for chefs, foodies, foodbloggers or anyone else interested in creating a kodak moment with perishables. Wouldn’t have found it without the help of another extraordinary food photo blog by Dutch Girl Cooking. The fine photo folks at Food & Wine Magazine got me through the shoot. I like to think I nailed the Wednesday night casual look for instant potatoes.
Oh, and then there’s scanwiches, which is just weird.
If you know of other places I can bookmark, I would be greatly obsessed. I mean obliged.

I suppose I should note those are mostly stylists/photographers if you want pretty photo-taking food bloggers, I have a list of favorites of those too ;)
