…or sunshine. thankfully, i found an email from colleen with this adorable illustration by freya art to make my monday a bit brighter. super cute and fun!
(colleen found this on ffffound by way of illustration friday.)

i recently came across the beethings shop on etsy and fell in love with their screenprints. very charley harper-esque. and to sweeten the deal, right now all the bird prints are buy 2, get 1 free. the only question is which three?

i’m not sure when i stumbled across it, but this morning i decided to embrace braid wednesday. and though i fear that i look like either a school girl, a hippie or a renaissance fair princess when i wear braids, i just couldn’t resist this morning.
now i just need to take a pic and submit it to the pool. oh, and to ignore bill’s wisecracks (mostly about me looking like an extra in braveheart). but really, the photo pool will make you want to braid your hair next wednesday and probably everyday…

(beautiful braid photos from shespeaksoceans and andrea scout)

More animal cuteness and cleverness. Visit the site once a day to answer a trivia question about dogs or cats and earn 10 bits of kibble for participating animal shelters. Started by a 12 year old. She delivered her first 240 pounds of food with a wheel barrel. A year later her total raised was 73 tons.
Watch the video of her first delivery, if only to see the anchor ladies faaaaaabulous hair.
PS the animals get the food whether you’re right or wrong. Whew! Cuz they’re kinda tough sometimes. Seriously.
PSS I think this would make a fun iPhone app too, if I knew how to create one.
I just found out my sister is pregnant (yay!), so I had to create a new category called babies for the blog and you all will probably be inundated with baby related stuff for awhile. But it will all be cute, I promise. Like this adorable video about how to make a baby.

What a cute little car and it’s good for the environment (plus it looks like it is smiling which is awesome). Touted as a “neighborhood electric vehicle” it can go 30 miles on a charge and can be plugged into any 110 volt outlet. They’re not out quite yet, but you can sign up to be notified when they are available on their website.

… a party. at least that’s what i’ve been thinking ever since i saw these adorable buttermilk cupcakes in a jar (by martha, of course) over on simple+pretty the other day. now i just need something to celebrate…
